FALL FOLIAGE
Fall is a wonderful time to visit Big South Fork Airpark and East Tennessee. The popularity of our area in Oneida, TN is due in large part to the stunning color changes to the foliage of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Mid-October through late November boasts beautiful fall foliage in a wide range of colors. The climate is cooler and offers the perfect environment for fall hiking and outdoor activities. Big South Fork is a forest of Tulip Poplar, Dogwood, Sourwood, Sumac, and Magnolias that peak in color change mid to late October. The bright red leaves of sumac and red maples and the burgundy of the sweetgum and tulip poplar are among the first to add vibrancy to the area.

Rugby Tennessee – Grey Gables B & B
In the late nineteenth century, aristocratic socialist reformer Thomas Hughes and his group of Utopian intellectuals left England to settle in an isolated area of the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee. There they built a charming village of gabled windows, peaked roofs, charming homes, and a quaint church and impressive library.
Grey Gables B & B is nestled on the outskirts of this 1880’s English village of Rugby. Grey Gables Bed ‘n Breakfast Inn offers the visitor the best of the Victorian English and Tennessee country heritage.

Rugby, TN – Victorian England in the Tennessee Cumberlands
British-founded Rugby, Tennessee, is a rare example of a rural, living community that survives from its 1880s utopian beginnings with its town plan intact, many buildings and its natural setting preserved and with no encroaching incompatible development. This is the result of a long chain of human effort to preserve it, inspired by its founder’s vision of equality and cooperation, community planning and natural resources stewardship. Rugby and its heritage must be preserved for all time and shared with this and future generations.

Living With Your Plane
The LWYP provides individuals who are living on an airpark, want to live on one or are interested in developing or expanding an airpark with important and helpful information.

“I have looked at so many airparks throughout the southeast, and Big South Fork Airpark is the best hands down. It is so quiet, if you like outdoor activities you will love it. Best part is, the through the fence FAA agreement. The people there are the friendliest around, all down to earth. No country club attitudes from anyone. The development is beautiful, lots of great lots for sale, with great views. If you are looking for an airpark full time or vacation home this is the place.”
