Good oysters and even better company were the themes of the 6th Annual Big South Fork Airpark Oyster Roast and Fly-in.

A tremendous community effort was given to execute another successfully delicious oyster roast, and planning for the event was nearly as much fun as the day itself.

If you are fortunate enough to host an oyster roast in east Tennessee, then you will likely need to know that two things are paramount: the oysters have to be fresh and the guests have to be happy. We hit it out of the airpark on both counts!

All of our neighbors would agree that the Sea Farms Oysters out of Hudgins, VA  provided by the Shrimp Dock (Farragut, TN) were incredible.

AJ Vanover & Talon Free catered for our event and provided amazing food for all. In addition to oysters, the menu included pulled pork, jalapeno corn casserole, slaw, and baked beans. No one left this party hungry!

Clint Keeton and Mitchell Sexton graced us with toe-tappin’ tunes, perfect for shucking while dancing!

Silas, the airpark mascot, was eager to greet everyone and distribute our 6th Annual BSFA Oyster Roast T-shirts, brought to you with the help of our friends at Classic Print Company.

Thanks to all for flying (and carting) in for some Big South Fork Airpark community fun!

Stay tuned for our next event. Until then, enjoy the event recap here:
